From the RGJ: Hurricane Hilary’s tentacles pushed into Northern Nevada, bringing widespread showers and lower temperatures because of dense cloud cover.

Every day on Reno’s forecast for the next week shows a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

High temperatures are expected to only be in the 70s Sunday through Tuesday. At the same time, there’s also a small – 10 to 20 percent – chance of Reno getting a full inch of rain.

“It’s been a while since we’ve seen much tropical moisture make its way up into our area,” National Weather Service staff told the RGJ.
