What's up guys! In this video I'll be covering the essential defensive back drills and techniques to improve your footwork, agility and ability to dominate receivers. The defensive back drills include:

• Basic backpedal drill to improve your stance, weight distribution and ability to push off your front foot.
• Weave and stay square drill to gain horizontal movement while keeping your shoulders square to the receiver.
• Flip your hips drill to change direction quickly and keep leverage on the receiver.
• 45 backpedal 45 drill for safeties to gain width and depth.
• 360 flip your hips drill with a speed turn to change direction instantly.

Mastering these fundamental defensive back drills will lay the foundation for more advanced techniques and help you improve as a defensive back at any level of play. Focus on keeping your weight over your toes, staying low and flipping your hips with a foot tap to change direction efficiently. The more you practice these drills, the better your footwork, agility and receiver dominance will become.
