This video explains what you need and how to erase a permanent code in your ECM/ECU. There are three ways to erase a permanent code, 1. Buy a $5,000 dollar scan tool. 2. Go to the dealer and get charged $300 dollars. 3. Purchase a 1 ohm 10 watt resister and a set of wired alligator clips for about $12 dollars total.

Using the resister and alligator clips it takes between 10 to 15 minutes to erase the permanent code from the ECM/ECU.
