In this video my travels in Europe, Poland take me to a small local traditional Polish Street food market outside Kraków main train station. I could smell the food from miles away at that very moment my taste buds started to crave what I was smelling. I then decided to go and check out what food they had. I was told by many Polish people about their traditional food called Bigos, and to give it a try and there it was right in front of my eyes waiting for me. Bigos often translated into English as hunter's stew, is a Polish dish of chopped meat of various kinds stewed with sauerkraut and shredded fresh cabbage. It is served hot and can be enriched with vegetables, spices or wine. There was other traditional foods and drinks available such as sausages, pork knee, Polish beer, Polish cheese and syrup all located outside the train station which was really convenient for me at the time while I was waiting for my train to my next destination. While I was on the train I met a young lad who was from Ukraine but living and working in Italy who gave me recommendations for restaurants in Ukraine and nice places to visit as a traveler. Also he spoke to me about what happened on the crucial day that Russia invaded Ukraine and stories of those who suffered from it he also told me a bit of his own story.
