Black on the Square: I Went So You Didn't Have To!

On Saturday, September 2nd, at London's Trafalgar Square, Mayor Sadiq Khan hosted the event 'Black on The Square.' It was advertised as a "celebration of black culture." Critics, however, contend that this is merely a prominent instance of race-baiting virtue signalling by the Left. They believe it is more exclusionary than 'inclusive', as it seemingly reduces black culture to just rap music and Caribbean food, thereby overlooking the vast diversity within the black community. This has led many to question why the festival wasn't framed as a celebration of London's culture as a whole.
