Pahlavan Razaz boutique hotel, Tehran
The year of construction of Pahlavan Razaz's house is not exactly known, but it dates back to the Qajar era. When years have passed since the construction of this property, the House of Shojaat buys it. This house was one of the houses of the Mirza Mahmoud Waziri and it had a khazineh, a waterfall, a basin and a windmill. Several years later, during the second Pahlavi dynasty, and in the year of Hajj Hassan Qomi, the western part of the building, formerly the Zurakhaneyeh (Traditional Iranian gym) Pahlavan Razaz, was demolished. And rebuilds, converting much of the basement of the home into a chicken and meat fridge for the sake of his job, cementing and insulating the entire wall and covering it with monolith and foam. After the death of Haj Hassan Qomi, his grandson resides in the western part of the house for two years without making any changes to the building. Afther that, Mr. Ja'farnejad buys this property from Haj Hassan Qomi's grandson. Mr. Jafarnejad, one of the most accomplished travelers in the world, has always dreamed of opening a hostel in Iran because of the many trips he has made and the variety of low-cost hostels around the world.
At last he changed this house to a historical hotel in Iran. With its cheerful colors and mysterious design, in the style of the Qajar era, it features two comfortable two-store building and amenities that provide a comfortable environment for tourists and guests.
Therefore, in recent years, he has followed many homes in various neighborhoods of Tehran, looking for his desired home, most of which were in ruins or had numerous problems, which made it difficult to deal with. By the time it reached this house, still inhabited by people, it was upright and had classical Iranian architecture.
After Mr. Jafarnejad purchased the property, he initially intended to prepare the building for the hostel in Iran with a simple, detailed design. When he began work on restoring the basements, he realized that the building was more than a century old and, after talking to neighbors and locals, he traced it back to the historical background of the property and its relationship with the warlord of Tehran.
So, after that, the process of repairing the building changed and went a different way to protect it. As a result, maintaining the authenticity of the building, under the auspices of a renowned and highly respected cultural heritage supervisor, with special retrofit and at a considerable cost, the site was opened as a place of accommodation for tourists in Iran.
This historical house in Iran has beautiful timber on the south and east sides of the mansion. Passing through the large, beautifully designed main and large windows of the house. Entering the corridor leads to the left that leads to a wooden staircase on the rooftop and a small green space, as well as rooms to the west of the mansion.
Along the corridor, the Zurkhaneh equipment such as bells, whistles, kebkabs and beds is arranged. A little further to the left, there is a staircase that you can use to access the eastern basement rooms. On the right, there is a room with wooden doors and windows, colorful glass and white curtains leading to the courtyard balcony. Also guesthouses are located here.
At the far end of the corridor is a doorway that leads down a staircase to a magnificent courtyard. The Qajar era architecture, large wooden doors and windows, light play and colored glass, a turquoise pool with a fountain in the middle, pots decorated around it and a water pump next to the pond preserve the historic color.
There are several entrances to the courtyard to access basements and upper floors. At the north end there are two entrances to the north basement, at the bottom of which a small museum is active with old and traditional appliances inside the showcase. It also features a traditional lounge-style dining room with traditional TV chairs and appliances.
