Terminator Salvation

During the period leading up to 2012; there were lots of broadcasts and a few movies of an impending global destruction: the Mayan "Doomsday." Date for this apocalypse: December 21, 2012. Obviously, the world continued on.

Another instance of global fear occurred on 1999, with the "Millennium Bug" or Y2K. A software design flaw that could have shut down every electric device, due to programming related to time. That small glitch could have created a catastrophic event; sending the entire technological world into a new dark age.

Unlike the meaningless pagan prediction; where the people group had no other significant paranormal visions; Y2K was averted by every technological nation pouring billions of dollars to fix the problem.

It maybe the morbid element to human nature but there are many that find apocalyptic subjects interesting. This is probably the driver to the zombie genre being so popular, ever since the turn of the millennium.

Though the two events turned out to be insignificant, the times we are currently living in...concern about the end of the world hasn't been this high since the Cuban missile crisis, back in 1962.

There are of course Christians who are completely uninterested or oblivious, when it comes to the Biblical prophecies of the End Times. Many of those that are of such persuasions, will often take to the position that they are trusting God.

Problem with such thinking: it's in direct disobedience to what Jesus commands. All four Gospels, in which Jesus speak about the topic of the End Times; He gives the same commands; be observant of what is going on in the world and be right with God.

Try as one might; there are no exemptions, pardons or special clauses; which excuses anyone from this obligation. Avoiding the entire situation due to fear or worrying; adds to the depths to this crisis of faith. Real faith in God isn't closing one's eyes and pretending there isn't anything wrong.

A fear response is an major indicator of whether or not a person actually has faith. Anyone can "trust God" when everything is going fine and there are no problems. The hardships in life and the manner in which a person reacts to it; separates what amounts to a bunch of facts an individual happens to agree with, opposed to it being a part of a person's existence.

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, drive out demons in your name and do many miracles in your name?' Then I will announce to them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me...'"

Before going further, it should be stated that if any of this sounds new; the church you're attending isn't doing it's job; which is the instruction in God's Word. For your own sake; find a church that fulfill what God has called the church to do.

There's no pastor, deacon, founder of the group your in; that has died for you. You won't be able to get into heaven as a result of anything they've done. The only person that can is Jesus, so find out who He is and what says about Himself, in a place that will teach the Bible.

This isn't the Mayan prophecy; we are seeing actual words; from ancient texts; written that these things were going to happen...and they are. All that been shown is the Matthew 24 section of prophecy; which can at any moment turn the page to the Book of Revelations.

Everyone needs to do some serious introflexion, as to where they are with God. God's Word has proven itself to be true and prophecies being fulfilled, are just evidence of the reliability. With a prophecy that's roughly 2,000 years old, being accurate; all the other things in the Bible...isn't it logical to conclude that morality, judgement, as well as heaven and hell are real? Now is the time to put away all the guilty pleasures and reckless indulgences. This isn't the 1980s, 1990s or 2000s; where things were brewing here and there but nothing that actually had people living in the End Times.

We are all living in a time period the Bible talks about...so if there was ever a wish by anyone wanting to live in Bible times; that wish is granted. Everyone you love and care about, if they aren't saved, pray hard they do. It's something that needs to be done, everyday.

Start putting in the time to actually know the Word of God. Those Hallmark churches will make a person feel special but considering there's a lot more than stickie notes saying "you can do it!" Better know what's inside, opposed to simply going by selected CliffsNotes.

The other thing to pray for: ask God where do you need to be. Keep in mind, in the past, there have been groups that felt God was going to return, so they sold all their possessions and waited at their church.

That would be in direct disobedience of God's instructions. Such actions goes against every Parable of His return. God expects His followers to be busy with the responsibilities they've been given. The only time there is an exception is an event called the "Abomination of Desolation."

That's when the third Jewish temple is rebuilt and than the Antichrist defiles it. Until that event occurs, there's no abandoning of any responsibilities God places on a Christian. Which leads to the next issue: standing for righteousness.

It might seem pointless to vote or to change our society so that it can go back to a godly one. Here's the thing, God has never placed outcome at our feet, that's God's responsibility. Ours is doing whatever is right before God's sight, regardless of outcome. What matters to Him is our faithfulness.

That's why voting matters. It's why supporting business that supports godly values matters. The only time it doesn't and we are no longer obligated, is once again tied into "Abomination of Desolation." The next link provides a list of material in which we can honor God, by doing right by Him.

As far as seeking God where He wants you to be...if you've never sought God before and asked where you're supposed to live; the default as to where you're currently living; isn't necessarily the right place. Living in the part of the Bible prophesied in Matthew 24; provides a vastly different perspective than prior to all the signs appearing. As former Pre-Tribulation believer...things changed with everything going on. It begs the question: what if the ideology is wrong?

The strongest argument for Pre-Tribulation: Jesus coming like a thief in the night. A Pre-Tribulation position makes sense because everything that goes on with Revelations makes it obvious that Jesus is returning. If it happens before all the hell on earth events; then it's unpredictable.

Problem is that this same exact term is found in Revelation 16:15, the middle of the Tribulation. God calls us to use wisdom. As such, what does one have to lose by being preparing for the Tribulation? Nothing. What do you lose by not preparing? Your head and not to mention lots of suffering prior to.

The other aspect to consider in all this: there's no one that clearly knows how the End Times will actually be, other than God and John. When you read Revelation; there are generalities; they don't go really deep into the geopolitical situation of the world.

Reason this is important to bring up; Jesus actually says when the "Abomination of Desolation" occurs; drop everything and flee. That's actually strange that such a warning doesn't occur for the early church and they were slaughtered.

The Bible Passages for persecution of that kind, has been to stay strong in the faith and you'll be rewarded. This obviously isn't that. Plus there's a Passage of 144,000 that are protected. Unless God is a liar and creating an illusions of false hope; what's seen is that the Antichrist doesn't have a complete lockdown of the entire world.

This would mean that there are areas that are "sanctuaries" or safe zones, away from the Antichrist's control. Those that feel like everything is destined so there is no point to resist or like suffering; more power to you.

For everyone else: only God knows the details. It just underscores the need to pray and get serious with God. Play times over and it is time to put awat the destructions.
