Many of us have a religious background that indicates that at some point we may need to make use of the mountains or wilderness as a refuge. Hebrews 11 mentions it. Jesus points us to the experience of Lot, and pointed forward in a dual prophecy to the destruction of Jerusalem and the end of the world. The books of Judges, 1 Samuel, Psalms, Isaiah, and Jeremiah contain many mentions. Revelation 12 indicates it, and the scenarios of chapters 13-18 strongly infer that such ability could be useful. Both secular and religious history give many examples of such needs, and the value of being able to use these places as a refuge. In this video, we discuss the realities of actually doing it.
