The Bank of England's inflation target of 2% has been called into question by Karen Ward, chief market strategist for EMEA at JPMorgan Asset Management and adviser to Chancellor Jeremy Hunt, after recent high inflation has been brought under control. BOE officials are hesitant to change the target out of concern that it will harm the bank's credibility, despite the UK government's openness to adjusting the bank's remit.
