Heart attack

A heart attack, medically referred to as a myocardial infarction (MI), is a critical and life-threatening medical event that occurs when the blood supply to part of the heart muscle is severely reduced or completely blocked, resulting in damage or death to that part of the heart muscle. This usually occurs due to blockage of one or more of the coronary arteries that supply oxygen-rich blood to the heart.
