In the last decade, an estimated 40 million Americans have lived within a mile of a mass shooting. And that number grows every year by about 4 million. These figures are based on an analysis of data from the Gun Violence Archive and US census bureau by the CNN data and graphics team. CNN's Amy O'Kruk explains.
