Lakeside camp out

Taking a well-deserved break, I seize the opportunity to embark on an exhilarating escapade with my trusty vehicle, Nessi. Joining me on this adventure are Zack and his enthusiastic crew, Christien and Laura. Adding to the thrill, Brenden and Sophia accompany us, their 17 Colorado contributing to the convoy. Our rendezvous point is Grand Bay, and from there, our destination is none other than the captivating McKeel Lake.

Nessi, now equipped with impressive 33-inch tires, is about to face her first test on the rugged trails. The anticipation is palpable as we set out, the promise of excitement and camaraderie propelling us forward. Our journey takes us through Grand Bay, leading us to the lake that beckons with its tranquil beauty.

McKeel Lake, nestled in the heart of nature, welcomes us with open arms. The sparkling waters mirror the clear sky above, and the surrounding landscape is a panorama of serenity. Our chosen trail, a combination of stock and modified sections, proves to be an engaging challenge. As we ascend, larger rocks come into view, testing our skills and the capabilities of our vehicles. The recent rain has left its mark, with water veiling some obstacles, adding an unexpected twist to our adventure.

Nessi's upgraded tires prove their worth as we navigate the rocky terrain. Their traction and stability make light work of the challenging path, while their performance on the pavement is equally commendable. The transition from off-road to on-road is seamless, a testament to the careful consideration given to the choice of tires.

After conquering the trail, we reach the lakeside campsite. The sun dips below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the water. Laughter and stories fill the air as we set up camp, sharing the joys of the journey and the thrill of overcoming obstacles together.

As the night settles in, we gather around the campfire, its flickering flames dancing in harmony with the stars above. The camaraderie forged through shared challenges and triumphant moments binds us together.
