Just like Maverick, we have a driven guy that has an immense talent in this movie named Jann Mardenborough. He’s excellent at the auto racing simulator Gran Turismo but wants to be a real race car driver. A GT Academy is created to give gamer drivers like him a chance to auto race for real. No reset buttons. Just your life ending if you screw up just a little bit, just like in a fighter jet. Jann has to beat other gamer drivers and real professional drivers with years of real-life experience. Also, he doesn’t want to prove his doubters correct by failing. After a thirty-four year career in the movie business that included stints managing movie theaters, as Director of Acquisitions and co-writer of Tales From the Crapper for the legendary B-movie company Troma Films, film critic and reporter for his own website, http://FilmJerk.com, and as an assistant director on a number of feature films and student shorts, Edward started The 80s Movie Podcast in 2019 to share his passion and knowledge of movies. Entering his fifth year as a podcaster, Edward's show has been incredible growth over the past year, including having been chosen as Samsung Free's Podcast of the Day this past Thanksgiving Day, the first day the app became publicly available.
