This is an expensive but very versatile compact torch. It has a 4000 lm main light with spotlight mode, floodlight mode, multiple power levels, stepless and stepped dimming, a 500 Lumen COB sidelight with a wide angle floodlight and a full RGB light output with stepless colour ramping.
It is waterproof, rechargeable and will even work as an emergency power bank to top up your phone.
In the box, you get the torch itself which weighs in at 125g and is sized just 27 x 30 x 120 mm, quite a bit smaller than I was expecting for the price. No problems with the build quality, which is first rate and looks like it can withstand the heaviest treatment due to the armoured glass lens and aluminium alloy body casing.
As regards appearance, it has an attractive matt black finish with the small recessed lens on one end and a screw threaded cap on the other giving access to the battery compartment. The end cap, BTW, is magnetic and can easily support the weight of the torch when positioned horizontally. On one side is a small grommet protect bay for the USB-C port and on the other is the single metal multi-purpose button and the 16 x 1 cm COB lighting panel.
The flashlight is powered by a single removable type 2017 4,000 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Charging takes about two hours and gives around two hours in Spotlight mode at Maximum Turbo power and a massive 27 days at Spotlight setting in Moonlight mode. In general use, you should get between two or three hours of runtime at high power. The rather dim and hard to see charging LED changes from flashing red to solid green when charged. The same LED will flash red during use if the battery level falls below 30%. One nice feature is that it supports reverse charging, which means the torch can be used as an emergency power bank to top up external devices.
Everything is controlled using the single button and given the number of modes and options on offer, this can get a bit complicated.
Spotlight Mode (front light)
In Spotlight mode, which might be described as 'Normal' mode, click once to turn on/off. When on, double click to Access Turbo power, double click again to enter fast strobing mode, double click again to get slow strobing mode, single click to go back to standard spotlight mode. When the flashlight is off long press the button to enter Moonlight mode, which is a low light, low power operating state. To change the brightness level, long press the button when the torch is on and it will scroll through the three brightness levels, release the button to select the brightness level.
Floodlight Mode ( the side panel COB light)
In Floodlight mode, single click to turn on/off. To access Turbo power, fast strobing, slow strobing and Moonlight mode for the side panel just follow the procedure used in Spotlight mode.
Colour Mode
To access the side panel colour mode, when the light is off, triple click the button and click once to switch off. Double click in colour mode to access colour strobing. To ramp through the colours, when colour mode is on, long press the button and release to select a colour.
Mode Selection
When the torch is on, to scroll between Spotlight/Floodlight/Colour/Spotlight+Floodlight/Spotlight, just triple click. To enter the very dim Moonlight mode on either the front or sidelight, long press the power but when the torch is off.
What problems have I found with it? It can be a bit complicated to use but you soon get the hang of it. Also, it is a pity that the lens cannot be zoomed or focused and that no carry case, spare battery or external charger was included, but then you cannot have everything.
I have to say that it is perhaps the brightest torch of this size I have ever used, and certainly the best specified. It is currently priced at a penny under £50, which is good for what it has to offer, but if you don't need all the features and options then you might prefer to pay less, a lot less, for an equally bright but less versatile rival.
