Idalia made landfall early Wednesday on Florida’s Gulf Coast as a powerful Category 3 storm.

It's the strongest hurricane to make landfall in the Big Bend region, the nook between the panhandle and peninsula, in more than 125 years.

The storm is causing flooding in some areas and has left over 400,000 customers in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina
