Why didn't Mary fully support Jesus’ ministry?

Even though Mary was told by an angel that her son would come to do great things, she didn't really do all that much once Jesus grew up. Mary Magdalene even helped Jesus more than she did.

However, her lack of support isn't solely her fault. As we'll learn today, her reputation, spiritual knowledge and the people around her influenced the way she approached her son's passion, and whether she'd even be able to support it in the first place.
