Israeli spacecraft crash-lands on the moon

An Israeli spacecraft has crash-landed on the moon as a result of multiple technical and communication problems.

SpaceIL's Beresheet craft suffered periodic engine failure during its 21-minute landing sequence, before eventually losing contact with Earth.
