With A Little Bit of Help From The Guitar Man

Chris Stainton is a really good keyboardist and he and the rest of the Grease Band did an admirable job of backing up Joe Cocker except he couldn't really sing falsetto and it was painfully obvious when they were at Woodstock in '69. So, we decided to take Cocker's own intro and outro of a "Little Help From Me Friends" from the Woodstock version and mix in his studio version of the song before we chug into Elvis doing his "Guitar Man" to close out week and finish our work here for the time being... Or as Cocker would say, "See you again later... beautiful"...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...

At least that’s the idea… your mileage may vary, check with your dealer; so, you don’t forget order before midnight; operators standing by for your important call; Our talent is on loan from God. We just pray He'll let us finish another segue for tomorrow; Member FDIC; Licensed drivers only; This offer is void where prohibited by law and especially in California and New York...

This feature is a five-time winner of the Thomas J. Duke Memorial Music Segue and BBQ Cook-Off Award. Yes, we just keep on winning and it's the sound of music every day... We're hard at it every day...
