"Small, Smart, Cheap and Many" | US Arms Programme Against China's

The Pentagon plans to field thousands of drones within the next two years to help counter China's numerical edge in military personnel and hardware. The Pentagon also said it had been far too slow to embrace new technology that is “small, smart, cheap” and that could bolster the US military. The programme, dubbed Replicator, was announced by Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks. Hicks and Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Christopher Grady will oversee the programme. They will be supported by Doug Beck, director of the Defense Innovation Unit (DUI).
