Ex-PM Imran Khan's conviction suspended in corruption case
A recent conviction against former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan was suspended by an Islamabad high court on Tuesday, according to his lawyer.

"Today, the judgement was suspended by two judges of the High Court, and soon, Allah ta'ala (God willing) Imran Khan will be out of jail," the attorney, Gauhar Khan said.

The former-cricket-star-turned-politician was sentenced to three years in prison on Aug. 5 following charges of corruption, where Khan allegedly sold state gifts during his tenure as prime minister between 2018 and 2022.
