Riyad Mahrez SCORES FIRST Al Ahli goal as they beat Al Khaleej 3-1 | BMS Match Highlights

Al Ahli SC defeated Al Khaleej 3-1 in Matchday 2 of the Roshn Saudi League on Thursday.

Riyad Mahrez scored his first goal in Al Ahli shirt in the stoppage-time of the first half, after Brazilian defender Ibanez opened the score in the ninth minute.

Mansour Hamzi pulled one back for the hosts in the 58th minute, before substitute Sumayhan Alnabit scored Al Ahli's third goal deep into stoppage-time.

Al Ahli played the match without Roberto Firmino, after the ex-Liverpool forward contracted a muscle injury during the week. Firmino scored a hat-trick in Al Ahli's victory over Al Hazm in the opening week last Friday (11th August).

Edouard Mendy, Franck Kessie, and Allan Saint-Maximin all featured in coach Matthias Jaissle's starting eleven.

Al Khaleej remained without any points after two games.
