Have you ever heard of the 75 Day Hard Challenge? It's a popular online programme that claims to improve your mental toughness, self-esteem, discipline and physical fitness. The brainchild of Andy Frisella, a podcaster and CEO of a supplement company, the challenge was inspired by the Iron Cowboy, a man who completed 50 Ironman races in 50 days.

The challenge involves following six rules every day for 75 consecutive days, with no compromises or substitutions allowed. You must follow a diet of your choice, with no alcohol or cheat meals allowed; complete two 45-minute workouts, one of which must be outdoors; drink a gallon of water; read 10 pages of non-fiction; and take a progress photo. If you fail to complete any of the rules on any day, you will have to start again from day one. The challenge is designed to test your willpower, resilience and consistency and help you develop positive habits that can last beyond 75 days.

Many people have shared their impressive transformations and testimonials on social media, but the challenge is not without controversy. Some experts have questioned its safety, effectiveness and sustainability, arguing that it may be too rigid, extreme and potentially harmful for some people, especially those with underlying health conditions or eating disorders. They have also pointed out that the challenge provides no guidance on diet, exercise or mental health, and that it may encourage an unhealthy relationship with food and exercise.
