Address The Elephant In The Room

It's important to do business with customers who are a good fit for us because there are folks that want something for nothing. You think everything's fine and you're on the same page, and then at the end they don't get it. We don't really have it that easy because everyone just assumes we're a scumbag like the rest of them.

When we're up against that, to really be mindful of like how our customers are thinking, their guard is up. They're looking to be validated to say, my suspicion is right. And sometimes it is, sometimes it's not.

And through the process, it's very important to us to maintain open and clear communication. If they're skeptical of you, to just acknowledge it and say, listen, I understand that many homeowners, maybe even you are skeptical of roofers. You don't know if we're being truthful. You don't know what we're hiding. You're wondering if you're getting scammed. You don't know if it's a fair price and your guard is up, and I don't want you to feel like that one time throughout the project.

So let's break everything down. You interrupt me with any questions. Usually just by addressing that head on that will help a ton.
