The house-sized monster machines, called the Giga Press by their maker IDRA, can create single-cast parts for the Model Y, the first Tesla vehicle. Tesla's use of its giant casting machines has long been anticipated by the electric car community as one of the most exciting developments from the company. And it certainly lives up to its name. With dimensions of 20 meters by 7.5 meters by 6 meters, its physical footprint is huge. Additionally, it weighs approximately five Space Shuttles, 430 tons. Giga Press components are so big that it would take 24 flatbed trucks to transport each one. Further, Giga Press boosted Tesla production to 56,000 units.

Thus, Tesla leads the global electric vehicle production with this terrible number. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
