Rob Nagel is a Jersey Shore native and the founder of Surf Taco, New Jersey's preeminent Mexi-Cali cuisine-style restaurant, founded in 2001 and now with 11 locations across New Jersey and Florida (Jupiter). Rob has a fascinating life story that brought him to each coast of the United States, from living in tents to directing non-profits in California, and ultimately returning back to his roots at the NJ shore to bartend, lifeguard and work in other restaurants prior to launching Surf Taco. He has maintained an admirably grounded approach to business and life, and shared tremendous nuggets with aspiring entrepreneurs on guerrilla marketing, taking action and going heavy at the start.
