"Build Percolation Pits and Small Dams-Save Groundwater Levels?"-

"By using rainwater, the underground water level can be increased by almost 20 feet. "Percolation pits" are holes of varying depths dug into the ground. These pits help recharge the groundwater and pull the water down through the soil.
Experiences in India:
Bangalore's "Lalbagh Botanical Garden" solved a major water crisis by conserving water and setting an example for India. They dug 209 holes of varying sizes in the park to conserve rainwater. This not only provided water conservation but also increased the water level by almost 20 feet.
Similarly, there is a significant decrease in the underground water level in Pakistan. Some hydrologists believe that by 2025, the water level in the upper and lower regions of the Ruchna Doab in Pakistan could drop by 10-20 meters. Since we waste most of the rainwater in the sea, the government and public institutions should build "small dams" and "percolation pits" across the country to solve this problem."
