Fond du Lac man sentenced to 28 years in prison for sexually abusing babysitter

A Fond du Lac man will spend nearly 30 years behind bars for sexually assaulting his girlfriend's children's babysitter starting when she was just 11 years old. Jose Veliz, 42, was sentenced Wednesday to 28 years in prison and 17 years of probation for abusing the girl. He is ordered to have no contact with the victim and to stay sober.
