WHY KEEP A JOURNAL 📓
Many of us have a great idea but before we ever think to write it down, it’s gone. Even in the business world, success coaches advise their associates to immediately capture their thoughts and ideas in writing as soon as possible. Research indicates that any new ideas not captured within 37 seconds are likely never to be recalled again. After 7 minutes, it’s gone forever!
Life coach Stacia Pierce said, “Once the words and images hit the paper, you have now crystallized a thought or idea. You can use the power of pen and paper to strategize and create anything you want.”
The quality of your thinking has the greatest consequences of all! In 2013, I set a goal to make myself sit quietly for 20 minutes one day a week. So 52 times that year, I sat quietly for 20 minutes and wrote whatever I heard in my spirit. I came across that journal recently, and I began reading some of those private entries the other day. It was verbatim what is happening in my life right now!
