Texas: The US Navy officer who claimed to have shot Osama bin Laden during the Abbottabad military operation has been arrested on charges of drunken vandalism.
According to American media, former US Navy officer Robert O'Neill was arrested in Texas on charges of drunken disorder and assault on a woman.
The former US Navy sailor was arrested on a Class A charge of assault causing bodily injury while intoxicated in a public place and a Class C misdemeanor charge of misdemeanor battery.
Robert O'Neill, a former US Navy SEAL, was later released on $3,500 bail, but the case will now go to court where he could face possible prison terms and fines.
