You always need a cutter knife. But what do you actually do when the blade is dull? Surely you know that you can break the blade so that you can cut reasonably again.

But how exactly do you break off the blade? Many use pliers for this or break the blade off at the floor. There is a part included in the cutter knife that is specially designed to break off the blade.

You will find this at the back end of the cutter knife. There is a cap on it that you can take off. It's got a little slot in it, and you can put the tip of the knife in there and then break off the frontmost piece.

This way the blunt piece is gone and doesn't fly around in the room, but hangs in the cap. This way you can dispose of the broken tip directly.
