Do you also have the problem that no one takes care of your plants when you are away for a while? Then this should no longer be a problem for you in the future. Because all you need is an automatic watering system. And how you can easily build it yourself, I show you in this video.

For this we need a PET bottle, a cotton swab, a stick and some tape. First you need to make a hole in the top of the bottle. This should be just big enough for you to push the cotton swab through.

Now we need the stick and the tape. We attach the stick to the bottle so that there is still enough of it sticking out over the lid. Then we fill the bottle and close the lid with the cotton swab.

Now you can stick the stick into the soil so that the bottle is upside down in the soil. The cotton swab should not touch the soil. And the self-made irrigation system is ready. Now the water comes out of the bottle drop by drop and ensures that your plant is watered over a certain period of time.
