Celebrations for the last moments of Summer come in Whatcom County's Birch Bay with a Parade to start off the Derby Day that included Duck/Crab Derbies, Poker Run, as well as actual athletic runs near the beachfront shore.

Floats went from both sides of the shore from pink beach-boards to yellow/green emblemed shirts, marchers came with much including political council members and those in the running, Windemere Real-estate, as well as business from around the area joined in the procession through the small town of Birch Bay.

The event lasted from 9 am in the morning till 5 pm throughout the day, though even with its decent attendance by hundreds of people, there was smoke cover from the longest stretch of the bay area with some people masking due to warnings of air quality being lowered by smog.

This took place on August 26th, 2023, in Birch Bay, WA at 10 pm in the afternoon.
