Homemade Tuscan Spice Mix (FRESH Ingredients!)

Copying McCormick’s One Skillet Tuscan seasoning mix for Mediterranean-inspired meals. We love this seasoning but it is hard to find in local stores. By making our own we can enjoy it anytime and use fresh homegrown and local ingredients!

Megan makes a pasta dish that we love with this seasoning mix but none of our local stores carry it. She wanted to try her hand at making her own and as the official judge of food in the house I have to say it was excellent.

We began by slicing our vegetables and then placed them in the dehydrator for a while. Once all the moisture was gone we used our food processor to turn everything into a powder and then transferred it into a mason jar for storage.

How long will it keep on the shelf? We’re not sure. Storing it in an airtight container in a cool, dark place will obviously prolong its life. I have a hunch it will all be gone before it can go bad.

We eat dinner together as a family every night so our meal time is very important to us. We love homemade meals with fresh ingredients and we love sharing them with you, too.
