Surely it sounds strange at first, that you should tip vodka into the water of your cut flowers. But the whole thing actually has a positive effect on the life of your flowers. Why this is so and how you have to proceed exactly, I show you in this video!

The flowers last longer, because the alcohol has an antibacterial effect, this prevents the bacteria bring the flowers to wilt early. Vodka is also odorless and thus neutralizes bad odors that can arise after some time in the water.

However, you should never add too much vodka to your flower water. Otherwise, the opposite effect could occur and the flowers will wilt faster. A small sip is sufficient here.
