Music - Beat Makers

I attended the SXSW conference in Austin, TX. I joined Abe Batshon, CEO/Founder of BeatStars, to learn more about the new way producers make money in the new creator economy. Over 100K new songs are delivered to Spotify daily, which begs the question: where are these artists finding their beats? More than ever, artists find it easier to discover their perfect beat online, record from the comfort of their home, and self-release. It’s never been a more convenient time for musicians to purchase the instrumentals and sounds they desire.

Recently, the biggest hit songs in music have been created outside of a studio or traditional setup. The panel also included: 1srael, Grammy award winning, multi-platinum producer on hits like "Wait for You" (Future/Drake/Tems); KXVI, 2x Grammy nominated Producer from Denver, CO. Worked with Future, SZA, Lil Tjay, DJ Khaled, and Gucci Mane; SHIMA, a LA-based singer, producer, and engineer, writes lyrics in both English and Japanese.
