Allotment Adventures Episode 7 - Planting out and battling the weeds

As we head towards the end of August 2023 on our allotment we plant out some of the seedlings we nurtured - Rosina Rocket and Roger the Radish and carry out a little experiment with one net tunnel using compost in the soil and the other using chicken manure to see if we notice a difference in the growing times. Paul experiments with grass cuttings as mulch and does his first soil test. Everything seems to be growing pretty well including the weeds which seems to be a weekly battle. We also encounter some pests for the first time!
