A Visit to a Group Promoting Strong Fathers

In honor of Father's Day, Tiffany visited the Milwaukee Fatherhood Initiative. They work to help Dads step up and be strong, caring figures. The Milwaukee Fatherhood Initiative has researched and identified six areas most important to changing the fact thtt 34% of all children live in a household where there is no biological father present. They bring men together in their non-profit's progrmas, as well as in their 2 day annual summit and mini-summit coming up in July. They discuss fatherlessness, identify solutions and resources, promote positive images of father roles, and eliminate many obstacles for fathers being involved, responsible, and committed parents. Their summits focus on driver's license recovery, child support back pay reduction, education on parenting and for employment, and men's health to name a few.
