Lantern Parade at Gaina Matsuri 2023 #japanlife

The summer festival in the small town where I live in Japan. The festival is called Gaina Matsuri and this is the Manto (Lantern) Parade. The teams balance the lanterns using their hands, shoulders and head. The lanterns are attached to bamboo poles. The teams practice for weeks before the summer festival.
