Former President Donald Trump arrived in Atlanta, Georgia, Thursday. He was booked on Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations charges along with 18 co-defendants—including members of his election legal team who tried investigating election interference. And they’re all now being accused of running a conspiracy of election interference, for trying to investigate election interference.
This marks the fourth time President Trump has been indicted, just in time for the 2024 elections. Yet unlike the previous charges, this time he went through the whole process of being booked. Authorities released his mug shot soon after. And that mug shot immediately became a political symbol.
In other news, during the Soviet Union, an image began appearing in graffiti around Russia. It was a simple cartoon figure, often accompanied by the slogan “Kilroy was here.” It became a meme, an idea that seeped into the nation’s culture. The panic it incited among the Soviet leadership turned the cartoon into a symbol of revolt against the tyrannical system. Similar regimes have seen similar memes—images that come to represent a deeper sentiment of the people. It appears now that the Trump mug shot is having this effect among conservatives. Here to discuss this with us is Trevor Loudon, Epoch Times commentator and author of “Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists and Progressives in the U.S. Congress.”
And in other news, former President Donald Trump was just indicted in Georgia. This makes it indictment number four. He now faces a possible total of over 700 years in prison, and the death penalty. But is any of this actually solid? Could it prevent him from taking office? And what are the potential paths he could take to challenge the cases? Here to speak with us is Trump lawyer Jesse Binnall.
