Meteorologists are closely monitoring a disturbance situated near Honduras which, as indicated by early models, could potentially influence Florida in the upcoming week.

The exact location of impact and the system’s potential intensity remain uncertain at this juncture, but authorities in the state have taken proactive measures in readiness.

Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has instructed the Florida Division of Emergency Management to gear up for the potential ramifications of this “potential tropical system.”

“Residents should remain vigilant and prepare for possible impacts early next week,” he posted on X.

Concurrently, another development in the Atlantic includes Tropical Storm Franklin, which is poised to potentially escalate into a hurricane over the weekend, the Miami Herald reported.
