Directions
1) Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F and line a 9x13 inch dish with parchment paper
2) Combine the melted butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt together. Add the flour and stir to combine. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared dish and bake for 15 minutes.
3) Combine the sliced apples, flour, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl until all of the apples are evenly coated. set aside.
4) Combine the oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour together in a medium bowl or in a food processor, cut in the cold butter with two forks or just in the food processor. The mixture should look like coarse crumbs.
5) Turn the oven up to 350 degrees F, evenly and tightly layer the apples on the warm crust. Sprinkle the streusel over the apple layer and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the streusel is golden brown.
6) Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 25 minutes and then put it in the fridge too completely cool, about 2 hours or overnight. Remove the bars from the dish and cut them into about 12 pieces, it really just depends on how big you want them. Finally pour the salted caramel sauce over the bars.
7) Enjoy your delicious treat!!
