However, limitations exist. AI and robotics require energy-intensive manufacturing and maintenance, potentially offsetting their benefits. Automation might lead to job displacement in certain sectors, necessitating reskilling efforts. Biases in AI algorithms can perpetuate existing inequalities in access to resources. The high upfront costs of AI and robotics deployment could hinder adoption, especially in developing regions. Additionally, over-reliance on technology might overlook the importance of local, human-centric solutions for sustainable development. Balancing technological advancement with ethical considerations is crucial for harnessing AI and robotics to truly support global sustainability goals.
