POW 🏳️ AFU POW: only one of the three companies were left: 'They treated us as cannon fodder.'

24.08.23▫️ The assistant machine gunner of the AFU 21st Separate Mechanised Brigade Private Igor Seleznyov was taken prisoner during the offensive operations of the assault units of the Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District on Svatovo-Kremennaya front line. The Ukrainian serviceman surrendered voluntarily.

▫️ Igor Seleznyov is a mobilised man. He was taken into the army despite his chronic illness and lack of compulsory service. Once in the army, he was shocked by the living conditions. Igor was particularly surprised by the attitude of his commanders: 'They treated us as cannon fodder.'

▫️ The prisoner also said that, during the time on the front line, only one of the three companies were left in his battalion, and the rest were destroyed by the Russian troops.
