NASA has been involved in multiple missions to the Moon. The most famous and notable mission is the Apollo program, which landed astronauts on the Moon for the first time in 1969. The Apollo program consisted of several missions, with Apollo 11 being the one that successfully landed astronauts on the lunar surface. Since then, NASA has conducted several other missions to the Moon, including the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, which has been studying the Moon since 2009. Additionally, NASA has plans to return humans to the Moon through the Artemis program, with a goal of establishing a sustainable presence on the lunar surface by 2024.
