Exploring Bennu: NASA's OSIRIS-REx Mission and Its Journey

101955 Bennu stands as one of the nearest celestial neighbors to Earth. This asteroid, approximately as tall as a skyscraper, has been the focal point of NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission since late 2018. The mission's arrival on December 3, 2018, marked the commencement of a comprehensive observational phase, entwining Bennu in a intricate veil of study.

Subsequently, on May 10, 2021, the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft bid farewell to Bennu, embarking on its journey back to Earth. Accompanying the spacecraft are more than 60 grams of samples gathered from Bennu's surface.
