Hello, everyone! I am back with another video :-) ! In this one, we get to see a bit of a fun inside look at what the production of 'Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid' was like at a certain break time :-) ! Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid is a feature length movie by Prominence Films, written and directed by Anthony Prom, and faithfully based on the original story by Hans Christian Andersen! It is also Mr. Prom's first feature length film! "In 1989, the release of Disney's The Little Mermaid ushered in the Disney renaissance that was to last 10 years. While a good film in its own right, Disney's version of Hans Christian Andersen's immortal fairy tale was also a grave injustice to the story it was based upon, simplifying Andersen's powerful story into a simplistic romance." - Anthony Prom. Now, Mr. Prom has made a film which he hopes has finally captured the "power of Andersen's original. It is a story of love, betrayal, and sacrifice, in which a young mermaid gives up everything she knows for a chance to win her salvation, and ultimately triumphs." - Anthony Prom. This video happened because, when we were taking a break during the production of the movie, some of us got talking about Shakespeare's Hamlet. Anthony Prom had been reading it around that time, hehe, and he decided to start reciting an excerpt from it for us. So, I figured it would be a fun little behind the scenes video if I recorded him, hehe. So, that's how it happened, heh. Madelyn Kobberman plays the title character and a secret character in the movie - Helena/The Little Mermaid and the secret character. For my part in the film, I play the character Prince Alexander - the vivacious reader and hopeless romantic Prince of a Kingdom who struggles between his desires to live up to his Kingdom's expectations for their Prince and his desires for a life of adventure, love, and discovery. I also wrote the dialogue for one scene in the film :-) . The film also stars Stephen Brewer as Captain Stefan, Grace Klimisch as one of Helena's sisters (sorry, the name is escaping me as of now :-( !), Grace Meyer as another one of Helena's sisters (sorry, I also forget this character's name :-( !), Anthony Prom as the Foreign King (he also isn't named in the movie. How about King Remus, heh?),Emily Klimisch as the Sea Witch, Peter Eilen as the King (he isn't named in the film. But in my head cannon, I think he should be called King Aris, hehe) and many more that I can think of but unfortunately can't remember the names of (sorry :-( ).
