An Uncapped Atmosphere Means Explosive Thunderstorms in Michigan This Evening -Great Lakes Weather

An explosive severe thunderstorm environment will be in place across Lower Michigan, and development will occur this evening provided that a capping inversion will likely weaken ahead of an incoming cold front. These storms will be capable of significant damage with wind gusts possibly exceeding 75mph. This cold front will essentially end the dreaded heat wave across our region.
