Chronological Bible in a Year 2023 - August 24, Day 236 - Jeremiah 51-52

Welcome to Day 236, August 24th, 2023. We read of the utter destruction of Babylon at the hands of the Lord. The Prophet Jeremiah instructs Seraiah to read all the evil that is to be done to Babylon in a book he wrote down, and then wrap a stone on the book and throw it into the Euphrates. A review of the Fall of Jerusalem is recorded, along with the plundering of the cities of Jerusalem and Judah and Israel. Jehoiachin is king release by the king of Babylon and set with an allowance for the rest of his days. This marks the end of the Book of Jeremiah.
