Congress Put Secretary Mayorkas on Blast. Impeachment Coming?

The border crisis remains a major threat to national security, and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas has shown a complete lack of border control. Now House Homeland Security Committee members are considering possible impeachment proceedings against Secretary Mayorkas for lying to Congress, violating federal law, refusing to secure the border, unconstitutionally censoring Americans on social media, and allowing the largest expansion of drugs, human trafficking, and illegal immigration on record.
In a recent hearing, Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee Mark Green (TN-7) strongly criticized Secretary Mayorkas: “I was stunned when Secretary Mayorkas confessed to the Senate that he didn’t know about the cartels’ use of wristbands in smuggling operations. Ignorance of this common practice further highlights his dereliction of duty and the administration’s failures to secure our borders.”
How ridiculous is it that the person in charge of keeping our border secure claims to have no idea about basic cartel tactics to smuggle migrants and drugs into our country? Or maybe the question should be: How believable is this?
Regardless of the obvious crisis at the border, the Biden Administration, Secretary Mayorkas included, continues to gaslight the American public with the message that the border is completely under control and poses zero threat to the country. In other words, totally ignore the fentanyl epidemic or the all-time high human trafficking because of the drug cartels.
Just how bad is human trafficking at the border? The U.S. lost track of 85,000 migrant children who crossed the border. We also told you how Biden’s HHS sent thousands of migrant children to work in factories across America.
How likely is Secretary Mayorkas to be impeached? My dad, ACLJ Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow, believes the House will successfully impeach Secretary Mayorkas, but with the Democrat-controlled Senate, it’s a whole different ball game. However, Secretary Mayorkas does not have a lot of friends in the Senate or law enforcement in the border states, so anything could happen.

Why does the Left continue to turn a blind eye to the border? Clearly, they believe migrant voters will build their base – but at what cost? Look at the rise in violent crime and drug-related deaths directly resulting from an open border. We also know that terrorists on the FBI Terrorism Watchlist are sneaking in – due to information we obtained through our FOIA lawsuit. A secure border should be a primary goal for all Americans, regardless of their political affiliation.
Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) joined our broadcast and echoed similar concerns about the Biden Administration’s refusal to address the border.
“They view this purely through a political lens and not through a human lens. . . . They’re all too happy to allow utter devastation or little girls getting sold into sex trafficking trade. . . . They’re all too happy to have migrants dying in large numbers along the Rio Grande in South Texas – 856 last year alone. . . . Those are the kinds of things my Democrat colleagues are perfectly content allowing to continue. It is a war on children. They don’t care that children are dying, that children are being abused, or being sold into the sex trafficking trade. And they’re all too happy to perpetuate it for their political expediency.”
