Are you interested in starting a union in your workplace? Start talking to your coworkers! If you want to learn more about how to form a union, your rights to unionize, or connect with a union representative, there are a lot of resources already available:
-Visit unionsforall.org
-Get in touch with the Emergency Workplace Organizing Committee.
-Research examples of unions at jobs similar to yours (one sample resource from Cornell to start: https://guides.library.cornell.edu/c.php?g=31384&p=199727)
-Visit AFLCIO.org to search directories of local labor councils and AFL-CIO-affiliated unions
-Remember! Even if you are in a “right-to-work” state, federal law says that you and your coworkers have the right to form, join or assist a union! Visit worker.gov for some of the basics about your labor rights under federal law.
